We can increase retention with correct Priming!  But:

• What is Priming
• When should we Prime?
• How should we Prime?

Then you'll start to create how you'll Open and Close your training.

Both your Opening and your Close requires, as a general guide, 10% of the training time.  So, if you have a 1-hour live virtual training, around 6-minutes are required for both the open and the close.  If you have 1-day, then both will be around 25-30 minutes.

But why so long?

Well, for the opening we need to:

• Bring learners mentally as well as physically into the room.
• We need to connect learners together (or with the platform).
• We need to connect learners with the content.

And for the close we need to:

• Bring everything together with no loose ends or unanswered quesitons.
• Have learners action point and action plan where and how they will use their new skills or applying new knowledge.
• Celebrate the successful jouney they've completed.
