How To Create Job Aids That Support Learners In The Workplace
Job aids are simple, clear instructions for doing a particular task. They tend to use graphics and only a few key words. Designed well and used purposefully they remind people how to complete tasks correctly and help avoid workplace mistakes.
But Job Aids are not a substitute for training, so when and how do we create them so that they become a valuable resource.
Expect to Discover (but not limited to):
- What is a Job Aid and when should they be used?
- Different type of Job Aid and which work best for what.
- Strategies for making sure Job Aids get used – aligning with managers
- Gathering information – Ideal outcome, Common errors …
- Selecting the best Job Aid type for the need
- Creating and Testing your Job Aid (the focus of this training)
- Distributing your Job Aid
During the training, you will start to create your own Job Aid. We’ll ask you to use Canva (there’s a free version and we’ll ask you to sign-up for this – don’t worry if you don’t already know how to use Canva). Of course, back in the workplace you can continue using Canva or use PowerPoint, Snagit, Venngage etc
Cost - £25 (plus VAT if you reside within the UK)
How To Create An Escape Room For Training
An escape room, also known as an escape game, puzzle room, exit game, or riddle room is a game in which a team of players discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks in one or more rooms in order to accomplish a specific goal in a limited amount of time. The goal is often to escape from the site of the game. (Source Wikipedia)
Escape Rooms are fun, but what if we could still have the fun and excitement of an Escape Room, but used as a training tool to deliver content?
Take part in this recording of the live event and experience a Training Escape Room and from that experience, start to create your own Training Escape Room for your own training content.
Expect to leave with (but not limited to):
- The experience of being part of a Training Escape Room.
- 4 Steps for Creating An Escape Room - and start to create your own Escape Room using them.
- How to use PowerPoint to create your Escape Room (of course, the same ideas apply if you have more sophisticated applications such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate etc).
- Tips and Tricks for creating a successful Training Escape Room.
Cost - £25 (plus VAT if you reside within the UK)
